About Us

“Every sixty-nine seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It is a curse and epidemic, but we must live with it…And the emphasis is on LIVE.”~Gail Matthews~
Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease, with no known cure. It is a horrible disease that becomes increasingly debilitating with time. To put it bluntly, the disease stinks. However, it is a part of our lives now, and I am determined to keep my life and that of my husband’s one of quality…Even if our definition of quality changes over time. We don’t dwell on
what we cannot do anymore; we concentrate on what we can do, and continue to explore new options as time goes on. My beautiful father-in-law was the first member of our family to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
